Damian is all set to make his way to Los Angeles in a few weeks to race in his first ever Para Track World Championships.  This all important event will be the event that determines  if Damian earns a start spot in the upcoming Paralympics in London.  He does not have to win –just have a solid performance and we think it may be just enough to get nominated.  Thanks to all of you, Damian has this opportunity. The NYC cycling community as well as the cycling industry,  National Foundation for Facial Reconstruction, NYU Langone Medical Center, Hanger Prosthetics, Achilles International and other cyclists and friends from around the world have helped Damian reach for his dream.

But we do have one more small financial barrier to cross . We have been fortunate to have the support of the  UCanPlay2 Foundation, Challenged Athletes Foundation and DoubleTree Hotel to offset most of his and his coach’s expenses but we still need to raise around $1,500 – $1,800 to pay for meals, bike fees – love those airline fees – and miscellaneous expenses.
