Off-Topic for 10/19/2011 – 06:00

Welcome to the Tue, 10/19/2011 – 06:00 edition of Off Topic! You are looking at the next step in the evolution of VCN, the Off-Topic page. Have you ever been frustrated because you had a burning desire to call someone a sandbagger and could only hope to be timely by posting your comment to a photo gallery page or on a page describing a charity ride?

Well, your prayers have been answered! You can post your comment from the home page and it magically comes to rest here with the other orphans from the land of Misfit Comments. The page gets refreshed every day, but not to worry! Each day’s page will be archived and treasured, so you can look back on past pages with pride, shame or disgust-depending on how the day’s conversation went. So post away! We’ve got an internet to fill up.

Nature Valley (6) and Battenkill (9) are both limiting the team size (# of riders) for the 2012 version.

Now, let’s do the same for the NYCC! B field limit at 9 riders.

OK, NYCC Park races are not national pro events, but it will make for better and more enjoyable racing. The giant teams just relegate the race to a very predictable format. There are an endless number of bodies prepared to chase down everything…

9 on the line…

The nine rider limit for battenkill is for the pro race, not the 6 cat 4 fields, 4 cat 3 fields, etc. Also, CRCA A races are limited to 9 riders per team already.

In the Cat 4 field, you have 3 or 4 guys per team that can do anything and the rest are pack fodder, so if you can’t get anything done in those races you probably suck.

i actually agree with you. And think Kissena and Charlie should do it as well. Sick of PP races having 20 kissenas.

Simon just sprinkle a little Foundation on there, as there should be enough chemicals to get rid of ’em. At least until next season.
