Phil & Paul are pathetic at best. Eurosport provides great online coverage and superlative colour commentary from Sean Kelley – a man who has been through and seen it it all.

Yes, I was one of those raggin on Frankie when he was on VS. Yes he was bad, but now looking back he was bad or not good because he still hadn’t found himself as a TV reporter/interviewer/commentator. He was left alone to founder and he did. BUT! Now with this James character he seems to have found IT, what ever IT is and is dead on. They make a good team, a great one, two, punch, POW. Frankie even has a catch phrase, OUT! Now you’re on to something and you need to keep it, own it, use it! Tell us who the bosses are so we can spam them to keep the team together, hopefully to oust that aging Ligget/Sherwin who need the boot, haven’t watched them in years, why! Their day in the sun is over, we need fresh blood. Anyway, Frankie talks cycling as a cyclist and doesn’t dumb it down for the cycling fan FRED who well needs to buy a clue not be spoon fed by the announcers.
OUT!

I agree, hopefully Lance doesn’t try to get Frankie fired from NYVC.

was fantastic + the interviews frankie pulled out were really good too. We need more interviews with T.Danielson, who’s having a pretty good TDF this year.
It was sad to see Tour Talk go away. It was the only format that was quite enjoyable to listen too and got the straight talk that, in my opinion works well with cyclists and average fans. A lot of my non-cycling buddies actually followed their dialogue pretty well. It made them feel like they could talk to other cyclists and know what the fck is going on.
I hope somebody realizes the internet traffic dinero they flushed down the pooper for not letting it continue. I think if they bring it back, Tour Talk could be huge. James was the perfect co-host (poised and still able to shoot off the cuff with the goings on of cycling).

Phil has completely lost his mind. Every move made is followed by “that’s a good move.” Today, when Gilbert attacked about 10 minutes to early for the mid stage sprint, Phil gives his obligatory “that’s a good move.” Of course HTC’s lead out for Cav reeled Gilbert in less than 10 seconds after that “good move” and Phil literally 20 seconds after saying “that was a good move” says “I don’t know why Gilbert went out so early.” Makes me want to throw things at the tv.

Not sure where else to put this, new interviews, not much new info just re-hashed old news for some (me) but still good viewing:
I defy anyone to go to these websites, and in less that five minutes, find the current GC standing for the Tour de France.
What is up with these guys? Live updates, mobile apps, interactive maps…..yippee. Where is some simple information?
VN has standing after stage 12, and a partial listing at that.
CyclingNews is just a mess.
Gimme a link, prove me wrong.
