IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Tomorrow’s Prospect Park Race
As per the announcement I made at the last Lucarelli & Castaldi Cup race, you can not, I repeat you CAN NOT, ride the in the reverse direction of the course at any time – before, during or after the race.
I know many riders enter the park in the morning at Grand Army Plaza and then ride in the reverse direction of the course towards the Start/Finish line. This is no longer allowed. You must enter the Park through one of the normal Park entrances and ride in the correct direction towards the Start/Finish line.
Any rider caught not following this rule will not be allowed to race that day.
Also, when the race is over please do not make a U-Turn and ride back to the Start/Finish line. Either take a cool-down lap or exit the Park.

My friend Dana was seriously injured in a collision with a cyclist in Prospect Park around 12:30 pm on June 11, 2011.
