Welcome to the Tue, 04/11/2011 – 06:00 edition of Off Topic! You are looking at the next step in the evolution of VCN, the Off-Topic page. Have you ever been frustrated because you had a burning desire to call someone a sandbagger and could only hope to be timely by posting your comment to a photo gallery page or on a page describing a charity ride?
Well, your prayers have been answered! You can post your comment from the home page and it magically comes to rest here with the other orphans from the land of Misfit Comments. The page gets refreshed every day, but not to worry! Each day’s page will be archived and treasured, so you can look back on past pages with pride, shame or disgust-depending on how the day’s conversation went. So post away! We’ve got an internet to fill up.
Congratulations to El Barei’ Augusto Sánchez. Both him and Rafael Merán are very much needed in DR’s Team Pursuit team, which needs to qualify in 10 days in Colombia, for the 2011 P anAm games to be held in Mexico. So instead of doing some serious altitude track training, sunday gigs?!
FBF Race This Saturday!
The Kings County Kermesse will take place this Saturday, April 16, at Brooklyn’s Floyd Bennett Field.
The Pro/1-2-3 race will be run as a handicap race. The Category 3 field starts first and then the Pro Category 1-2 field starts 3 minutes later. Both fields race for the same prize money so the Pro/Category 1-2 riders must catch the Category 3 riders in order to place. There are also races for Category 4 and 5 riders.
