Welcome to the first edition of NYVelocity’s The Insider by Anthony Tan.
In what will be a regular on NYVC, Anthony will contribute by way of podcasts with various industry folk, canvassing topics others are reluctant to discuss – as well as talking plenty of crap.
From time to time, he’ll also write a column about what really goes on behind the scenes in cycling’s major league, keeping the teams and those within on their tippy toes.
Joining Anthony in this podcast is Jeff Jones, Editor of BikeRadar, and Cyclingnews journalist Les Clarke.
They cover the Pegasus Sports fallout, Alberto Contador’s beef with his butcher, and the Santos Tour Down Under, the first race on the 26-event UCI World Tour where we’ll get our first glimpse of the heavily anticipated battle between Mark Cavendish and André Greipel, beginning Sunday 16 January.
So grab a beer, sit back, and enjoy the ride.
We’ve tried the itunes thing, but we didn’t get approved or something, then I got lazy and quit trying.
It’s not that the feed won’t play on iTunes, it obviously does. What the OP was suggesting was putting it up on the apple iTunes store. But obviously apple requires you to jump to too many hoops for the NY Velocity guys to bother.
you need to put the podcast on Itunes!
itunes does not recognize us
sound man
I lasted 5 seconds. You want me to listen to 28 minutes of that?
jacked up sound
just download the mp3 file guys, it _will_ play in iTunes. Sorry Tan-man, sounds like some of your fans are stuck in iPhone-land and need to be spoon fed
The podcast from 20 leagues under the sea…
I am bored at work and though finally something to listen to cycling related for the week and all I can hear is some faint sounds coming out of some plastic speakers. Then after trying 5 different mp3 players I decided to go back to music and woke the whole office building to some heavy music because I had the volume turn way up…
yawn
is fine, but good god is it dull.
played fine through my browser. however, like an unedited family slide show, it went on a bit too long
i know it is just a bike version of coffee talk but come on. but comment in some way that might be taken as interesting
I thought it was pretty good. I liked the bar atmosphere conversation because you know that you’re gettin candid comments when cycling journalists put on their beer muscles.
The Contador comment made a lot of sense it seems. “Who dopes an animal weeks before its slaughtered? I’m no expert here but that sounds strange, along with the plasticisors. Contador is in a “situation”.
Keep’em coming.
Whatever happened to “Charlie the Ey” features?
