Welcome to the Tue, 08/09/2010 – 02:10 edition of Off Topic! You are looking at the next step in the evolution of VCN, the Off-Topic page. Have you ever been frustrated because you had a burning desire to call someone a sandbagger and could only hope to be timely by posting your comment to a photo gallery page or on a page describing a charity ride?
Well, your prayers have been answered! You can post your comment from the home page and it magically comes to rest here with the other orphans from the land of Misfit Comments. The page gets refreshed every day, but not to worry! Each day’s page will be archived and treasured, so you can look back on past pages with pride, shame or disgust-depending on how the day’s conversation went. So post away! We’ve got an internet to fill up.

They’re going to have to find some other interface than a touchscreen. As much as buttons and “joysticks” suck comparatively, they still work when you’re wearing winter gloves.
They’ll also need a battery that doesn’t crap out after two hours of continuous use. Unless there’s charge regeneration somewhere in that application — then it’s on.
Long Island Criterium This Sunday!
The First Annual Long Island Criterium will take place this Sunday, August 15, at the Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood, Long Island (about 40 minutes east of NYC).
Please come out and suppport this first year event. Finding new race venues is not easy in NYC so the success of this first year event is important for future events.
It’s a flat 1.3 mile course with a twisty chicane-type section and one 90 degree right turn. It can be windy so expect a tough race!
There are races for Category 5, Category 4, Masters 35+, Women and Pro/1-2-3. Bring the kids – there are races for them too!
Take a break from “Park” racing and try a new race venue!

“Mario is a super-hybrid made from the blood, sweat and semen of Jean-Claude Van Damme, The Rock, and 2/3 of the cast from ‘The Jersey Shore’.”
Also, there are too many Cat 4s. upgrade or die, fools!
Just what we need, more jagoffs swerving around on their bikes as they try to ride and operate their iShit at the same time.
what does one scream when their electronic shifters fail to work at a critical moment–or in general?
i mean, it might sound kinda dorky (“oh snap, the battery died!”) and less manly than, “fuck, my steel cable just broke!”
