Off-Topic for 07/12/2010 – 02:10

Welcome to the Tue, 07/12/2010 – 02:10 edition of Off Topic! You are looking at the next step in the evolution of VCN, the Off-Topic page. Have you ever been frustrated because you had a burning desire to call someone a sandbagger and could only hope to be timely by posting your comment to a photo gallery page or on a page describing a charity ride?

Well, your prayers have been answered! You can post your comment from the home page and it magically comes to rest here with the other orphans from the land of Misfit Comments. The page gets refreshed every day, but not to worry! Each day’s page will be archived and treasured, so you can look back on past pages with pride, shame or disgust-depending on how the day’s conversation went. So post away! We’ve got an internet to fill up.

Not that I know specifically, but I would say that if you walk into any one of the 5,492 Irish Bars that (seem) to be in midtown and ask them nicely, they’ll put it on for you. Many of them are open for brunch if you want to watch live.

As far as having them put the sound on so you can hear the logical and verbal trainwreck that is Phil and Paul, that’s another story.

eh

tx, but watching the tour solo & soundless at an irish bar at 9am sounds more depressing than actually working

I agree. Alas, I’ll be watching a choppy Europsort feed in my cubicle while pretending to work. I see your depressing and raise myself to pathetic.

Wait a minute! Today’s a rest day anyway! That means I’ll have to do actual work.

I’ll get back to being pathetic tomorrow.

“It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.”
