As the Toto Turns 163

Sorting out the Recycling

That’s not part of the foreplay, but it’s still very important.

Damn! And I thought I’d be getting a real deal on some liposuction equipment. Guess I’ll have to continue having my Chanel suits custom made to fit my size.

Hardly- I ride/race all the time…and hopefully will get my upgrade in the spring. All the stuff that goes on at the very top end of the sport just seems like WWF to me- I like watching it but I can not really relate to it (it is and was always too fast for me to comprehend- it was not like I was ever going to be pro).

How is it that I’m learning more about this latest scandal regarding The Hog and Lance on Toto than I am from a sports outlet? ESPN covers cycling, right? Who’s the cycling writer there? Juliet Macur even wrote about it from the NY Times and ESPN doesn’t mention it? No wonder why Lance always lies, he can count on the sports people to ignore him.

Sorry, but biking still isn’t a sport to most americans. Lance is a cancer hero, and the TdF stuff is purely incidental.

Deny, deny and deny some more. There’s been accusations about Lance for almost this entire decade and none of them have stuck, possibly because he’s clad himself in enough lawyers and PR Teflon and also that regulators have chosen to look the other way. Or maybe not. After a while it begins to look a lot “The Boy Who Cried Wolf”, justified or not, and the mainstream press devotes less attention to it – not that they ever really scratched the surface to begin with.

What I wish would happen and probably won’t is for the French investigators to test all of the waste for DNA, PEDs, etc. immediately and publicly release all the information. Oh, and tell the UCI to %$#* off while they’re busy doing all this. Instead what will happen is that there will be countless court motions, injunctions, suits, counter-suits, etc. by a dozen different interested parties and once again the truth will be slowly and agonizingly released, drop by drop over the next few years, and in the end never totally get out.

I read that this stuff was supposedly found during the last 4 days of the Tour. One of those days was the final ITT when LA sent away all the cars so Contador wouldn’t have a ride from the hotel to the race course. It would be damned funny if it turned out that this contributed to the trash not being taken away “properly.”

Great job smallie and company. another dimwitted discussion that brings the level ever so much lower. Sponsors are clamoring to spend money? Doesn’t matter cause you love this spotlight nomatter how ugly.

El Dorado

Wow, we have resident Troll! He hates Toto so much that he comes back every week to read it and complain!

Here’s a newsflash Nemesis: What brings the sport lower is doping, Omerta and a famous guy who is a fraud.

Part of the entertainment that is professional sports…

Bonds
Manny Ramirez
Lance
Basso
Flandis
McGuire
Many Olympic Gold Medalists
Ultimate Warrier 1,2 and 3

It will never end. Wasting energy over the whole LA conspiracy is almost as bad as believing he is pure as snow. Just enjoy this sport at our level and treat it as entertainment at the pro level. Lance is not the first or the last to treat his way to the top.

Dong Work For Yuda

Get it? The answer is somewhere in Seattle! Get Langdon on the horn!

Another sound accusation (with physical proof, needles, etc) and no, ESPN isn’t going to write about it. Hell, even the pussies at VeloNews left it alone. Lance shrugs his shoulders, rolls his eyes, questions your commitment to life and your love of cancer, and returns to the folds of the sycophantic masses, climbing over each other to suckle on the Teat Of Omerta.
