Welcome to the Tue, 11/08/2009 – 02:10 edition of Off Topic! You are looking at the next step in the evolution of VCN, the Off-Topic page. Have you ever been frustrated because you had a burning desire to call someone a sandbagger and could only hope to be timely by posting your comment to a photo gallery page or on a page describing a charity ride?
Well, your prayers have been answered! You can post your comment from the home page and it magically comes to rest here with the other orphans from the land of Misfit Comments. The page gets refreshed every day, but not to worry! Each day’s page will be archived and treasured, so you can look back on past pages with pride, shame or disgust-depending on how the day’s conversation went. So post away! We’ve got an internet to fill up.

The Lemond/Armstrong recap again:

why has this never been used to resolve their conflict? Is either one not satisfied until the entire sport and the races we enjoy are destroyed?
As if Lemond didn’t used a miracle drug to go from absolutely nowhere in the 89 Giro to winning the Tour?
He called it an iron injection…c’mon!
let’s see….riding the giro into form towards the end, using it for tdf training, and finishing in 39th place is absolutely nowhere?
wake up and smell your excitable clammy shammy. get back to us when you crack the top 1 in a central park circle jerk.
Lemond was just as bad as any Hinault, Fignon, etc…Guimard coached rider…made deals left and right like any other euro pro, PROFESSIONAL cycling…when EPO came onto scene the pin cushion mentality would get you killed…now they have dr’s that save lives by keeping them “topped off” instead of drop dead…
if Lemond has ev-i-dents, then publish it! He is full of Phil Wood BB grease…
Feel bad for his hunting accident, mostly the lead still in his body, but this “crusade” he is trying to lead is just making him look bad…start a team, a charity, work within…he is just a blow hard until he does…
why not Lemond?
