wince:

“I’m gonna rock this tonight”…

even though he tweets like a 16 year old girl embroiled in cheerleading squad drama, he does know he’s closer to 40… right?

Niccolo Compliant

Niccolo Compliant? My name is Niccolo Compliant? What kind of drag queen stage name is that?

Luca Rubber Hood

The ex on my 300K Shack mp3

That lefty beeitch never did get those lyrics right…

Sings out loud, to no one within 10 min

“All I wanna do is have some fun”
“I got a feeling I’m THE only one”
“All I wanna do is have some fun”
“I got a feeling I’m THE only one”
“All I wanna do is have some fun”

Vespaciano Steerer

Dave Wiens is 44. Tinker Juarez is 48. Travis Brown is 40. All well respected mountain bike racers in their earlier years. Endurance mountain bike racing is the semi-retired mountain bike racer’s sport of choice. So where does Lance fit in?

Gaetan Locknut

Smalls, like I told you two weeks hence, your KARMA is a result of the garbage you perpetuate on this site. You know I am right. You know I am inside your little head…let me rephrase that. I have gotten to you. This site is growing but you are afraid of the direction! REPENT NOW!!!!!

Mathias Tank

Andy deserves it too but his recent appearance in photos shows me that being asian and having a goatee makes him sort of ok. You on the other hand…
Glad I got your attention. But my point is, the negativity here is over the top, no?

Wheelsucker (is not allowed?)

if you don’t like the site, why don’t you go away?

Gregorio Saddlebag. seriously, these do sound like porn names

anonymous

I am being constructive. I am a cyclist and I race locally. I like to follow the local scene. I think the shittiness of this site could be curtailed making it much more enjoyable, and I’ve said so. That is why I dont go away.

Chad Feldheimer

what does toto lance bashing have to do with you racing locally? and why should we care that you are so sensitive. how about you stop using the internet.

Lance

Lance is fair game as a public figure who has done far worse to people and their careers than any little insults here will ever do to him.

I 100% agree that others suchs as local riders are hated upon far too much here though.

Niccolo Compliant

Niccolo Compliant: Why am I Niccolo Compliant?, Why can’t we pick our own names?
Andy: I tried that once, it don’t work. You get four guys fighting over who’s gonna be Axel Lungbuster. Since nobody knows anybody else, nobody wants to back down. So forget it, I pick. Be thankful you’re not Pantani Microdose.
Niccolo Compliant: Tell you what, let me be Lapo Tank. That sounds good to me, I’m Lapo Tank.
Andy: You’re not Lapo Tank, somebody from another website is Lapo Tank. You’re Niccolo Compliant.
Vespaciano Steerer: Who cares what your name is? Who cares if you’re Niccolo Compliant, Lapo Tank, Chad Feldheimer?
Niccolo Compliant: Oh that’s really easy for you to say, you’re Vespaciano Steerer. You got a cool-sounding name. So tell me, Vespaciano Steerer, if you think “Niccolo Compliant” is no big deal, you wanna trade?
Andy: Nobody’s trading with anybody! Look, this ain’t a damn city counsel meeting! Listen up Niccolo Compliant. We got two ways here, my way or the highway. And you can go down either of ’em. So what’s it gonna be, Niccolo Compliant?

wheelsucker

I understand it,but how the hell can yall call him a has been. 3rd in this years tour counts for nothing? make all the rationalizations you want, 3rd in the tour is not a has been result

Luca Rubber Hood

I completely admire his accomplishments on the bike and off, but this public vendetta against Dave Wiens was just plain weird. The dude just can’t stand to loose. He thought he’d soft pedal in last year and kick ass, and he got his kicked- bad. Well, congrats to Lance for winning a tough race this year while much of the younger, pro MTB talent weren’t even present.

Andy Bernard

is so far from a competitive race it’s a joke. outside the top 10 guys (or so), it’s a race for survival. sorta like….a triathlon. everyone’s a winner!

oh, and btw, it’s super-uncool to bring a “team” to such an event….it’s like bringing domestiques to a charity ride.

Arthur Tarmac

…a lot of people (or one very frequent commenter) spell “lose” incorrectly around here.

that is all.

Tom Skidmark

Jesus effing christ… Go to the livestrong site and jerk off to the Levi/Lance video love-ins if your panties are in such a twist about Armstrong’s “treatment” on Toto. The guy does it to himself — he’s a media whore.

~~~~ !!!LIVESTRONG!!! ~~~~
I love Lance. I pooped my pants when I read that Toto, so unfair. Why can’t he be the media darling his handlers ensure that he is? Why can’t you treat him with the respect he so desires, even though he angrily doles out petty admonishment to teammates and press, regarding their interpretation of his actions and words? Why do you want to make love to the cancer, in your mother’s bed, with the TV on?
wheelsucker
and why weren’t they present? you don’t think a chance to beat Lance is worth it for them? saying that the good guys were doing other races is the lamest
Quentin Internal Routing
I gotta say I think LA’s the biggest douche on the scene for winning Leadville. What a prick.
Major Hater
Why does the New York Velodrome site post news about general NYC cycling issues (Univest, bike lanes, etc) that have nothing to do with the velodrome project? Are they trying to be down with the scene by appearing local? Who are these guys anyway? Maybe they should post more info about how we can get involved by donating money or time to make this thing a reality, instead of creating this aura like the project has some wealthy benefactor and is just waiting for the city to finally grant them an expensive permit. I like the idea, but the site is a bit too polished for a project that ain’t gonna happen.
wheelsucker
but your bitching about them being *gasp* interested in the more general cycling scene??! the nerve of those bastards!!
congrats on being asshat of the day
Major Hater
No, I’m bitching about:
(1) Their vague website
(2) Their lack of a way to get involved via their website
(3) The ambiguity of their operational structure, if any
(4) The posts about general interest advocacy success in NYC cycling, as though they are slowly becoming the source for all things grassroots cycling in NYC. That, to me, is the weirdest thing about the project. It’s kid of like announcing that you are building a house and posting information about the house being built next door on your blog.
I’m sure there’s a lot of people who read this site who would LOVE, to help out in any way possible, but there doesn’t seem to be a conduit for that. At this point in their planning, these guys might want to build a community beyond posting on their comment section by holding events, perhaps fundraisers, town hall-style meetings with the general cycling public. I’m just thinking off of the top of my head, but there just seems to be no way to learn anymore about the project. This isn’t usually how community-built, independently-run operations build their base… I’m just saying…
wheelsucker
it’s more like building a house and writing about the neighborhood. God, we wouldn’t want a sense of community or anything, would we?
you’re the same kind of troll that would bitch if they didn’t mention anything about other cycling related events or concerns.
i’ll grant you that they should make it more obvious how we could help.
WheelieRider
What sense of community? The roadies (over here on NYVC) have strong disrespect for the fixters, messengers, recumbant riders, advocates, and even eat their own. There is no community, only small tribes who would rather go to war with each other than come together and support the greater good.Your idea that we are a community is foolish.
Chad Feldheimer
oh come on. even chad feldheimer knows that the majority of what you just mentioned are JOKES found on NYVELOCITY on the INTERNET.
JOKES! the name-calling, flaming, put-downs, the sandbagging, wheelsucking, squidgilanting, excitability, the upgrades, the DQ’s…
the community is still strong and we’ve got numbers to prove that.
Adolph Maforeskin
Oh, I see. By your logic and according to the original analogy, all NYC straphangers are interested in learning about NJ Transit issues.
wheelsucker
not necessarily, but if someone transit-minded decided they wanted their scope to be national, so be it, it’s not my site, they can decide how large a community they want. I didn’t say you had to want all of their content, but there is nothing weird about them including it.
I’ve taught philosophy and whomever is making these stupid arguments, stop butchering the word “logic”
wheelsucker
“it’s more like building a house and writing about the neighborhood. God, we wouldn’t want a sense of community or anything, would we?”
How in the world is that saying that everyone should be interested in it? you’re stupid.
wheelsucker
“all NYC straphangers are interested in learning about NJ Transit issues.” you might officially be a dolt. noone said anything even close to resembling something analogous to that
Leon Torque
‘Pinch me’? Somebody should flatten him; go in harder next time, Toto. Is there any activity of human endeavor that’s not at risk of being caught in this web of blatant self-promotion?
Solo Breakaway
“cut and paste coaching”
It’s the little things that make the difference. As usual: LOOOOOVE IT!
I don’t care if people don’t like him, but having a “team” didn’t win it for him. Lead outs don’t happen in mt biking not because of honor, but because they don’t work. And wasn’t he away for the last 60 miles?
Alessio Wave Ring
the course is tough, but it is fast with a lot of flats. not like a typical east coast technical rock and root fest. pulls would have helped
Alessio Wave Ring
big deal. it’s cool that he throws down in the dirt too. the MTB community was probably stoked to have him at the race. everybody knows who dave wiens is now.
Paranoid
So if this airport closes down Central Park, we’ll all have to pay to ride in their velodrome? Genius. That out Lance’s Lance, who was going to build a track to set the hour record and then tear it down.
Guillaume Ceramic
Yeah, that’s bullshit. No one is stupid enough to attempt to replace our only playground with another airport.
Sander Chamois
…and do they have a a sweet animated computer rendering of what they will do with manhattan after everyone moves out?
Thor Hammer Gel
Lance sets hour record in hypobaric velodrome in NYC, and just removes the de-pressurizing system. Merchandizing of vials of his “medical miracle” sweat from event could fund whole thing. Pay-for-view, tweet access, etc.
Anthony Drainhole
…as once again i’m assigned ‘anthony drainhole’…at least you nyvelocity fuck’s could refer to me as “tony da hole”, sheesh…
…& speaking of which & i’m talkin’ holes, i think the manhattan airport project could be a go if they put it underground, in a big hole, if you will…leave central park as is on the surface but all the airport workings could be subterranean w/ a big slot at each end…one to fly into for landing & one to fly out of after takeoff…
…good idea, huh ???…
…so thanks & hey, they don’t call me ‘tony da hole’ fer nuttin’…
…love, bgw…
