According to European press, that is what LA told reporters. Told ’em that AC could have beaten him in his prime. Perhaps there will be an AC in Radioshack?
Waiting for months to laugh a bit but the humor’s thin.
Come on!
Put more effort into it, please.
West Coast Reader
Broken? Maybe cracked but not broken, he’s still be on the roadside where he hit the deck if it was really broken.
Unfortunately, I’m getting a Tyler Hamilton flash back…
Wheelsucker
Did anyone see Armstrong doing anything for cancer awareness other than wearing the helmet that makes it easy for Paul and Phil to spot him in the pelaton(aka ‘The Armstrong Group’)? Well, I didn’t. All I saw was some cranky old prick pissed off because he can’t finagle another gimme out of the tour. No attacks, no stage wins, no yellow’s, no dice.
Wheelsucker
Hopefully LA will finally be exposed by mainstream media.
Wheelsucker
Where is this scathing attack? Saying he has no relationship with Armstrong constitutes ripping someone these days? Everyone knew that, Lance has been bitching about him since Paris-Nice. Lance and Johan have acted like little girls the whole time. Be a professional.
velocodger
In a few weeks AC will return to work as a bike racer at the Vuelta, and Lance will stay in his job-being a media darling.
mikeweb
Right you are! A decent chance of one more GT win…
Contador will be exposed as the doper that he is. LA will ride off into the sunset with johann as the head of radioshack/NIKE and phil and paul will go on a relity TdF tv show babk rolled by versus where every bike manufacturer and pharma company will sponsor a “half hour of non-commercial interruption”
Welcome to post TDF depression!!

After reading about Contador’s experience during the Tour this year, who would want to ride on Lance’s new team? It is obvious at this point that Lance will be focusing on only the Tour in 2010 for some sort of twisted revenge scenario against Contador. Domestiques are not hard to find, yet I doubt anyone with serious talent would want to ride for him.
Wheelsucker
revenge is a very good motivator. LA is really motivated for 2010

Excellent article in El Pais! Run it through Babel Fish and we’re treated to gems as translated below…
TOTO TAKE NOTE: Contador should hereinafter be referred to as “Accountant!”
“It was the worse moment of Accountant, something as well as the night of the long knives by a computational error. Twitter of Armstrong threw smoke. The Texan one said that the language preferred to bite, Leipheimer, from the distance, accused the Spanish to have removed from podio to the German, Bruyneel denied the argumentations of its leader to explain the mistaken attack.
The heavy world of the Astana fell that day upon Accountant. There the thin threads were broken that still sewed to him to the equipment. And there it said is enough Armstrong to leave it go to the boy who broke the future and present plans to him. Probably, that day Accountant it remained without moral equipment and it listened more than ever the sounds of silence. The life never was easy for Accountant in the Astana, but the 22 of July underwent the absolute war, the sensation to be outside their presumed house.”

Please leave Lance’s mom out of this. She’s really a very nice woman and doesn’t deserve this type of attention. Wives, moms and children should be considered non-combatants unless they throw the first punch. Thanks.
Sal, happy to stay off of moms. After all, I just got off of yours last night.
[ba dum dum, tish!]
Seriously, though, thanks for bringing this to our attention. We take these accusations with the merit they deserve.
Upon further review, the puerile jocularity in reference to Mr Armstrong’s maternal unit – a semi-public figure and herself a published author – has been ruled incidental contact. No animals were harmed in the making of this cartoon. As such, the play stands.
Wheelsucker
I don’t know . . . The Dick (TM)’s serial impregnation of blondes who look eerily like his own mama is a little unsettling, don’t ya think? (Impressive, by the way, on account of his ‘huevo solo’ (US patent applied for)). Must be a Texas white-trashy sorta-thing that the rest of us might never understand.
Wheelsucker
Here is a summary:
Annecy TT: Conti has to hitch a ride with his bro cuz The Dick (TM) hoarded all the Ass-tana vehicles for his friends and family who came to see him on his yello bike end up in 16th place.
Ventoux: Conti has to hitch a ride with his bro and g.f. cuz the team had to rush down the mountain and could not wait for the podium presentations.
Up Ventoux: Gutierrez sees that Conti has no water left. He tries to hand Conti a bottle, only to have The Dick (TM) rush in between the Spaniards and intercept said bottle, drink from it, and then offer it to Conti, who refused to take a sip. Gutierrez says that he asked Lance to return the bottle.
The day of the split: Rojas, the Caisse ‘sprinter’ is right behind Conti and Conti’s r.h. and only assigned “teammate,” Paulinho. Rojas says that he thought Paulinho would not let a split open up in the line right after the turn, which is exactly what happened. Conti went on to lose over 40 seconds, which it is said now was the plan to settle the leadership in favor of The Dick (TM).
Awesome news!! Now I can watch the Vuelta (and ’10 Giro) free over the air in HD.
Yep, I’m a cheap bastard who won’t get cable.
Wheelsucker
It’s traditional for the winner of the Tour to give all his prize money to be split among the staff. Armstrong always did this. Did Contador? If not it’s no wonder the staff was not there for him.
Wheelsucker
No, i think he spent it all on jamon serrano
Wheelsucker
Make it ‘Pata Negra,’ the melt-in-your-mouth, acorn-only fed pig miracle. I wouldn’t blame Conti for indulging on some of that good shit, would you? Kloden and Rast can go eat sausages; Popo can eat whatever; Zubeldia can cop some shellfish in the Basque country; Levi can eat Odessa and one of the lame-ass pets they keep; and Lance can eat shit
Wheelsucker

Wheelsucker
So what’s next for Conti? A Spanish team that will bulldog Lance’s every move like they did Evans at the Dauphine? Or will he stay and wait for Vino to come back to ride for the Borats with him, and assemble an anti-Lance dream team? Maybe they can call up Basso and Landis, then see if Ullrich will come out of retirement as gracefully as Lance did. Whatever the case, no way does Lance take those 5 minutes back out of AC. Ever. How ironic is it that Lance gets RadioShack as a sponsor? They sell parts for short term fixes of broken down electronics, now they offer short term fixes for broken down old cyclists. I hope AC wins eight.

Hi there,
I really do not understand LA behaviour in Paris refusing to ride the final lap with the TEAM. CAn anybody explain me why?
On the other hand, LA can prepare the best team in the world with 8 teammates like Popovich, Haimar, Levi, Lepihiemer, Andreas Kloden and whoever… AC demonstrated that he defeated all of them showing no special signs of efforts…. Has Lance really any chance next year?

i was in paris and saw much of the tension around the bus. LA (aka the Douche) was so focused on his goals each day, rumors flying around that he ran Astana, Johan and tdf organizers would have done anything since Lance brings 200 media pp with him. he is like dirty politician…
Good for Conti did what he did, attack or protect his chances of winning tdf.
how douche is Lance? when he knew he couldnt beat Conti on road he tried to beat him on bus, with team, mechanics, etc. LA still lost.
I have never seen so much prattle. Get a life, better yet, ride a bike. AC is a good rider, dumb at times in terms of team tactics. LA is old but does fairly well for an old racer plus he brings more revenue and marketing to the sport. Good luck to both of them. The cartoons are pretty good and reflect creativity. The comments are a waste.
Wheelsucker
1:39 yeah, get a life, stop doing things like posting comments. oops, you already did!

This episode of As the Toto Turns is on the yucky side. The comments about Lance mistaking his Mom for his girlfriend were kinda sick…not funny. Lets not go there again, ok?
You may not like Lance, but he’s not a perv, and his mom’s a nice lady. No wonder he blocked you on his twitter—I would have too.
Liked the Greg Lemond interviewing Lance episode. THAT was funny!
Wheelsucker
Are you kidding me? He’s like the biggest perv on the scene. Olsen twin? Sure, why not.
I’m so glad to have seen Lance get beotch slapped up and down by Contador. And his puppet media is horribly transparent. Like anybody would have said 2 bad words about him if he’d snuck off for a few extra seconds even if it meant knocking Hamilton or Landis off the podium. They’d be all, “Oh, would you look at that! What a ferocious competitor! What a lion!” Its so pathetic.
I’m going to assume, BTW, that all the pro-Lance posts on here are by either 1) Lance himself, or 2) Employees of the FOR PROFIT Livestrong staff.
Lance if you’re reading and thinking of responding… Before you do: Go screw yourself.
Wheelsucker
Agree with 4:39 110%. Contador got the shaft. The whole momma dissin’ bit ealier was a bit much though. The sport would be so much better off if he just got caught and walked away. I don’t buy his 3rd place anymore than I bought any 7 of his 1st places. HEY UCI – CRIT TEST 5 MIN BEFORE THE START OF THE RACE – wait, that’d take out half the damn pelaton.
Wheelsucker
Did AC get the shaft or the shank?
Wheelsucker
But Brad Wiggins gets fourth coming off the track and no one questions him but chalks it up to weight loss? You guys wanna open a can of worms, go ahead, dig in, there’s plenty to go around. Oh, and Garmin’s still after Contador? That makes a lot of sense.

You have officially been called out as a Livestrong employee.

But eki wasn’t really even in the team, he was just there. did he know what they did to AC out on the road, bullies. maybe he doesn’t care either. eki also replied to someone that they shouldn’t rely on media reports, yet he based his comments on a cyclingnews.com report which was nowhere near what was reported at steephill tv/spanish media. english media reported only the bits it wanted to, to create controversy and participate further in the cult that is LA – all dressed in mellow johnnys/radioshack kit and nike trainers. AC said he understood why JB had an affinity with LA and he thinks LA is a great rider. that’s what he said, the rest was…well, TRUE – there was tension and i wouldn’t respect him either after nothing but trash talk since his comeback.

LA is old but does fairly well for an old racer plus he brings more revenue and marketing to the sport. Good luck to both of them. The cartoons are pretty good and reflect creativity. The comments are a waste.
1:39 yeah, get a life, stop doing things like posting comments. oops, you already did!
“better yet, ride a bike”
Gee, thats a new one on this site! What a great suggestion.
why Contador not havefat contract with Cervelo and then maybe Continental tires?
instead of riding can I just finish my chicken parm hero? Come to think of it, Toto/Rasmussen might make a good team in cartoon form???
I have a prattle in my bottom bracket. That’s why I’m not riding.
WOW

About as funny as the sound of an ax being ground.
Did AC get the shaft or the shank?
But Brad Wiggins gets fourth coming off the track and no one questions him but chalks it up to weight loss? You guys wanna open a can of worms, go ahead, dig in, there’s plenty to go around. Oh, and Garmin’s still after Contador? That makes a lot of sense.
You have officially been called out as a Livestrong employee.
djfrey aka sal aka college aka johan aka every other shill-troll: remove head from ass, scroll to 4:13pm yesterday, grow sense of humour, punch self in face, turn off computer.
everyone else: completely idolizing or demonizing someone are equivalents. it doesn’t matter which side you’re on – you are the exazt same type of person and you’re tedious as f-cking hell. i hate you.
Contador is Pedro Delgado’s secret love child.
Look at them. Similar, eh?
You heard it here first.
There IS an “i” in “equipo” though.

Guess it’s not just LA and JB that think Contador is a shitty teammate
6:03 see 5:27
Don’t know if this has been shared but it looks like NYVC has friends at Slate.

There are really only a few people out there in the world who keep tabs on Ekimov via Twitter – Lance is one of them. Way to go Lance.
6:07 what are you trying to point out to me?
Sincerely,
5:03
146 was totally right on. So glad you had the balls-both of them and more-to publish that!
Lance is a sore loser. FU lance!
