Are we really to believe that the actual last name of the Organic Athlete photographer is ‘Green’?

C’mon now….

The Kissena Cycling Club is pleased to announce two exciting new races on Governors Island. The Governors Island Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, July 12, and is open to Pro/1-2-3 riders only. The Tour of Governors Island will take place on Sunday, August 9, and is open to Category 3-4 riders. Governors Island, in the heart of New York Harbor, is only 800 yards from Lower Manhattan, and even closer to Brooklyn. The five minute ferry from lower Manhattan to Governors Island is FREE!

Governors Island is an amazing race venue and the Park Officials are very supportive of our races. Please support these events so we can continue to have even more races on the island!

i agree with 10:28 comment. can the photog tell us how they took that pic of the wsu rider? looks like a really strong flash. any touch up afterwards in photoshop or something? what kind of camera/lens?

it looks almost like a pic of the rider was superimposed on the park background. very cool!

Charlie,

Any chance of spreading the word to larger news media for coverage? Bike racing as the seedling for development of abandoned infrastructure. Looks like a marquee opportunity.

I’m looking forward to it — bring the family, a picnic, take a tour of the grounds.

Cool, thanks!

I love your style of pics, particularly those that really hone in on the individual–or in some cases 1-2 individuals if they’re riding very close.

Do you use any rapid fire features? I’m new to digital photog. and recall the fun days of motor drives on my old Canon AE-1…

Great job Gina, hope soon we can pay you back all the great job you do…keep the good job
