Welcome to the Thu, 05/14/2009 edition of Off Topic! You are looking at the next step in the evolution of VCN, the Off-Topic page. Have you ever been frustrated because you had a burning desire to call someone a sandbagger and could only hope to be timely by posting your comment to a photo gallery page or on a page describing a charity ride?
Well, your prayers have been answered! You can post your comment from the home page and it magically comes to rest here with the other orphans from the land of Misfit Comments. The page gets refreshed every day, but not to worry! Each day’s page will be archived and treasured, so you can look back on past pages with pride, shame or disgust-depending on how the day’s conversation went. So post away! We’ve got an internet to fill up.

Giro to NYC? From Times:
Zomegnan explained his dream for the 100th anniversary.
From 2007 to 2008, he tried to plan for the Giro to start in Manhattan, with a time trial in Central Park and a second stage that would pass New York landmarks, including Little Italy. After that, riders would fly to Milan. He said race organizers would have had to spend about $5 million on the plan.
“Because of Christopher Columbus, there is a very good connection between Italy and America,†he said. “It was a good project, an expensive project, but we decided because of the economy that it was not a good time. In the future, we will try it again.â€
He did not speak with New York City officials, he said, but was trying to determine the viability of the plan before taking the first step. “It’s always a dream,†he said. “And I’m sure one day this dream will be a reality.â€
that idea is genius on a couple of levels.
Eh. Not impressed unless they did Floyd.
Luozzo’s Pizza would get a wild card entry for sure.
I’m tired of you writing that.
I’d like to see the Giro come to NYC just to read you guys bitching about it. “Why is this morning’s CRCA points race cancelled for the stupid Giro! Just because some rich Euros want to come over here and race their bikes to show off for sponsors doesn’t mean that local riders – the real bread and butter – of the sport, need to suffer! Why can’t they go back to Europe? Mike Green please do something! Oh and where’s my pic from Floyd?”
Personally, I’d love to see the Giro come to NYC because I’d love to see that Central Park TT. Fabian, meet crazy UWS lady with dog who doesn’t give a f–k. Crazy UWS lady with dog who doesn’t give a f–k, meet Fabian.
Also, random NYC dudes would jump in the back of the peloton. What’s not to love.
omg gmail is down i cannot talk to my teammates about team-related issues
excitable cat 4’s on this website
bear should have been split up between the excitable cat 4’s and the not-so-excitable-anymore cat 4’s
that’s pretty much how bear was split up.
