Welcome to the Thu, 05/07/2009 edition of Off Topic! You are looking at the next step in the evolution of VCN, the Off-Topic page. Have you ever been frustrated because you had a burning desire to call someone a sandbagger and could only hope to be timely by posting your comment to a photo gallery page or on a page describing a charity ride?
Well, your prayers have been answered! You can post your comment from the home page and it magically comes to rest here with the other orphans from the land of Misfit Comments. The page gets refreshed every day, but not to worry! Each day’s page will be archived and treasured, so you can look back on past pages with pride, shame or disgust-depending on how the day’s conversation went. So post away! We’ve got an internet to fill up.

Although it involved a bicycle, freestyle was a totally different sport. There I was putting on shows at battery park with a guy by the name of Danny Parks. People were waiting for the ferry so we just set up shop and passed the hat. We were making $80 a day each doing tricks like quickspins, surfers, decades, 360’s, bunnyhopping 10 people and hang fives. Marco Quezada (the big time phographer now) always wanted to hang with us but he wasn’t good enough. Right Marco!
Dividing Beat Cat4 by Age?
That really screws some teams doesn’t it? And leaves the fields super fragmented. It is a team sport stupid.
OMG, what will the world do without Bear Cat 4 team tactics? Earthquakes. A terrible flood. Locusts!!!!!!
There won’t be many. As usual, Bear will be a race of attrition.
Dividing the bear Cat 4 by age is awesome.
Is there is a Cat 4 CRCA team that is strong enough to employ team tactics at Bear? I haven’t seen one. The two strongest teams for our of town races are Setanta and Sanchez, and both have had success based almost entirely on the abilities of one or two riders, not due to team tactics. Luzzo’s has some strong guys too, but again, they aren’t relying on team tactics. Teany likes to ride in the front early and animate the race, which is commendable, but they haven’t been able to get a break to stick. FGX usually shows up in good numbers but doesn’t have the horsepower. Same with NYVelocity. Kingpin, Organic, Foundation and the rest don’t have the numbers.
Dividing the bear Cat 4 by age is TOTALLY awesome.
But we don’t know it, so its fun…
11:41 Can I subscribe to your CRCA Cat 4 newsletter? Fascinating.
Cat 4ever teams are the bread and butter of the CRCA.
However, it’s ultimately what’s inside the sandwich that’s most important.
Cat 2 meatheads?
Come on, have we grown up at all? The cliques and criticisms of others makes for good comment board controversy, and I think reveals more about the person making the comments than anything else – too bad we don’t know who it is…
that’s exactly it, it makes for good comment board controversy. stop getting upset in the real world.
the CRCA sandwich is delicious no matter how you slice it.
never knew what it meant when people said cat 3s weree the fat, creamy center of the 1/2/3 pack … until i upgraded
