I’m try to say that I personally know one regular photo contributor to the site that has just said “*uck it” because people write stuff like “pretty pathetic repository of photos here”

after a huge weekend of racing, there are three photos here, taken after the race with a camera phone. seriously, how can you friend, who didn’t even take these pictures, take offense at a comment regarding the absence of photos?

if someone was critiquing his aesthetic photographer skills, his aperture choice, his lighting, his shutter speed, then maybe i’d understand where you are coming from.

otherwise your friend is batshit insane and so are you.

if you look back, you’ll notice that some of the folks that contributed last year aren’t doing so this year.

after asking one directly at a race, he/she said “*uck it, those people are whiny, ungrateful, twats”. and then went on to reference a couple instances where folks spewed entitled bs on their efforts.

you are correct. the original poster was not critiquing this photographer.

the original poster was not criticizing any photographer. he was criticizing the existence of a repository with no photos, the weekend after bear.

to say that the photographers are not taking/posting photos this year because there are people who want to see a repository WITH photos, is a truly skewed form of logic.

i understand the hate for people who criticize the photos once they are posted. too dark, use the zoom, i can’t see myself. that shit is reprehensible and i agree those people are idots.

but your trigger happy defensiveness is worse than an excitable cat 4.

I criticized the original “pretty pathetic” poster because he was “putting down” a repository (on Monday morning after Mother’s Day) created for volunteer photographers who I’m sure not only have mothers but also a life.

There is no way you can sugar coat the tone of entitlement in his post, it speaks for itself and maybe didn’t even need my critique but I wanted to show photogs that we’re not all douchebags and do appreciate their efforts, no rush here.

A simple solution to the whining about photos would be to simply not allow anonymous comments on the photo repository threads!!!

For anyone interested, I won’t be at any of the races in the NY area this weekend, but I’ll probably be at the Wilmington GP this Saturday and I’m the official photog. at the Conestoga RR this Sunday in Lancaster.
