It was very rare for anyone in the Midwestern town I grew up in to go to any sort of summer camp. Mostly summers were for hanging around, finding trouble and being put to work.
My father is in the precast concrete business, and one of his products is burial vaults for cemeteries. A burial vault is a concrete casket holder that the caskets themselves are put into at the cemetery. Naturally the vaults had to be delivered, so that meant taking them to the funerals and setting them up to receive the caskets.
