Prospect

Last Prospect race of the season, a chase Kissena handicap race. Right now the Kissenas outnumber the chase, so…

Who will be the new Kissena champ? Zeb Nelessen not defending.

It’ s just like the Warriors! Kissena will be playing the part of the “Warriors” in this race. Bike fighting more manly than West Side Story-style dance fighting, but just by a little.

CRCA

Final round of the CRCA team cup, a tight one between ML and Axis. Molloy probably the best uphill sprinter, but is he healed from his collarbone break? ML hoping Dr. Loehner works a double shift Friday. I’ll be jumping in front of a taxi to occupy Dr, J in the ER. Got to take one for the team!

Absolutely no comment on the women’s cup, but the suspense is killing me.

So who’s left in the B field? Is Mecray the best sprinter left? Someone please get in a break and work with Accardi!

We have one spot to give away for the Kissena race, and we’re giving it to Tony Settel just to annoy the knuckleheads. And speaking of knuckleheads, we’re deleting flames on this one. The knuckleheads are getting two funny…

This week on the cycling channel I learned that

– 4’s are queens. ***snaps***

– pros like being tied up and spanked with dirty socks

but nobody let us know what the 3s, 2s and 1s are all about!

My friend and teamate alerted me today about what was being said about Tony Settel, on this website and I would like to know one thing . Why ? Tony is a friend and former teamate of mine and I find it just plain Wrong and hurtfull for anyone to say those things about him. Tony beat me by 4 minutes at the nats TT, he is one of the nicest and strongest riders out there today racing ! I am ashamed that in a sport that I love so much, such nasty things would be said about him.

Why can’t we all just get along and have fun racing our bikes ?

Brian, nice of you to post in TS’s defense, but just realize that this site attracts a number of anon-posting jokers who love to use the anon forum to make asses of themselves just like pretty much any internet chat room. Dont let it get to you, even though its not directly about you in this case. If someone called me a pansy rider or something on NYVeloCity, Id take it as a compliment since it only seems to happen to the fastest guys around. The rest of us just ignore that stuff…

My massage therapist was eating sushi in Park Slope earlier this week and realized he was sitting next to Floyd Landis, who was enjoying a couple of beers with some euro-looking racer guy. Floyd in Park Slope? Maybe he’s planning on catching Kissena on Saturday.

She doesn’t just have a job – she’s a big player/CEO. Supposedly wears couture. Healthy family, etc etc.

Who said what about Tony Settel? Was it about him eating those performance enhancing "Bearclaws" with Bremmer again? People should be a little more respectful about guys who’ve been racing as Cat 1’s or 2’s since the early 80’s. If you talk to them, you may learn something useful, like how a guy can consistently place in races for more than 20 years, and what that info could mean to you as a racer.
