Throw up whatever results you hear about. So far we have:
Stage 4
Alejandro Guzman wins 3 crit!
Xavier Melendez wins 35+ crit! Evil 2nd! Taylor finishes 2nd on GC, Evil 5th, Alden 6th, Badger in points jersey.
Rashdad Guerra wins cat 4 crit!
Stage 3
Cat 2: Will R. attacked 1 mile into the 92-mile race. Roger A. joined him a little while later. Eventually some more guys bridged up and they had a break of 12 that stuck it out to the end. Will took first-place points in all but the last lap, now has the points jersey (Ramon Benitez is in 2nd). Roger finished 4th, moved up to 3rd on GC.
Aaron Wolfe 8th in the cat 4 RR. Ben Harris slipped to 13th on GC. Wolfe 8th on GC, Pichler 9th on stage, Chris Chaput 7th on GC, 7th on stage.
Evil tries for a 3rd consecutive 6th (he’s so evil!), comes in 8th instead. David Taylor finished 3rd, should be in top 3 GC. Alden finishes 5th or 6th, might have leapfrogged the evil one.
Stage 2
Evil MH sez Badger’s in the points jersey in the 35+.
Pichler 2nd in the circuit race, Olsen in the points jersey. Ben Harris still 3rd. (4’s)
No serious changes in the 2’s.
Full results are up.
Modest MH neglected to mention his 5th place finish today.
Everyone held their GC position for the most part, except LaBance got bumped to 2nd by Sara Ulmer.

For the Masters, Evil MH is in 6th place, Xavier Melendez 7th, Tony Settel 8th, David Taylor 9th, Mark Alden 10th, Badger 11th.

No Upgrades for NYC racers!!! NYC racing is too easy and you all must do well in regional/national races for proper upgrades!!! Oh, wait…hold on…..
Greg Olsen (Jonathan Adler Racing) takes the Cat 4 Point Leader’s jersey after the second day.
Though there was a pro/1/2 race last year, I believe, this year it’s only pro/1 with a separate 2 race.
I pick MH to win the stage tomorrow. Blue Ribbon is the team up here. I am scared of them. Don’t tell them I said that.
My boy Ben Harris looks like he’s timing it nicely…..Go get’em Harris! I’m pullin for ya.

My boy Ben Harris looks like he’s timing it nicely…..Go get’em Harris! I’m pullin for ya.
I’m only 12 on GC.
Results show Ben H. is hanging in there in 7th on GC – was 13th in RR, so not 13 GC.
Rashad wins Cat 4 Crit
X. Melendez wins Masters Crit
Rashad also likes to climb! He won Blueberry too, so…..not surprised. Real standup cool dude – nicely done chap!
I was sending Andy updates and got yesterday’s cat 4 GC and stage results mixed up. Sorry Aaron and Ben.
Aaron put in a great move at the end of the crit to catch a guy soloing off the front. Unfortunately the guy was cooked and Aaron had to go it alone for the last lap.
Both Rashad and Alejandro won convincingly with beautiful sprints.
But the ride of the day has to be Xavier’s. He took off with two laps to go and held a 5 second gap to the finish, flying through the corners and powering away on the straights.
What happened to Olsen? See he DNF the RR. Hopefully not a crash….
Regarding Greg Olsen, this is what happened in his own words:
"Unfortunately, I had a mechanical yesterday in the road race and had to withdraw. I was trying to defend my points leader’s jersey in the first KOM of the day when my back wheel pulled out of the dropouts and I came to a skidding halt. Took me about 30 secs to get it back on correctly and I chased for a lap to no avail. It didnt help was rubbing againts the wheel and the tire turned out to be quite damaged."
He then went on to say what a great race it was. That boy made/makes us very proud.
excellent, Rufus Pilcher, #1 in HH
NO #2, still a good result
got back the 35+ points jersey in stage 4 (he’d lost it in stage 3 I think). And Geoff Bickford moved into 3rd on points. Both of the crashed in the course of getting those points. Those nutty sprinter types!
nice job to the blue ribbon guys. all of them looked mean and rode an aggressive race. Special thanks to JT, Matt Howard and Settel. Green is good.
Rashad! Congrats on the crit win!!
Well deserved my friend, you rode strong every stage.
Ben, Great job with a VERY solid top 10 in the GC!
11 (2 – Cat1) Caleb Fairly 02:39:48 185361 185 CRCA/Sakonnet
I watched about half of the pro-1 criterium and some of the Sakonnet guys were players in that, getting in some serious breaks.
Congrats Alejandro
all that training really paid off.
miss a lot
