The Veteran Category is traditionally the race that has the greatest variety in ability and experience. Today was no exception, as the field was quickly strewn out over the course. David Taylor and Thomas Pennell stayed away virtually the whole race. Bob Clifford won the 60+, and Jan Faltyn took the 50+ title.

David Taylor:

“I got away the first lap with my teammate Thomas Pennell. He started to cramp up going up the hill on the last lap, so I had to take it from there. It’s a hard way to win a race, but it’s a great feeling to have two teammates putting it to the field. Masters like to race hard and have a good time; we are just looking for a good race to enjoy ourselves.”

Easy to say when you are as strong as David Taylor…
