you win, you are in the best field in a club race in the CRCA. and in regards to bike racing, you're still a midget racing other midgets who don't get paid because you aren't good enough.

there's always someone better, isn't there? i suppose if you were an A-Field rider you could say a B-Cup is a contest for the tallest midget, and if you were racing for a Pro Continental team, you could say the same for the A-Cup.

btw- it's ironic that the quickest lap time from today's CRCA races came from the B-Field. just sayin'...

who caused the crash was a problem all race. from the gun to the crash, he was riding aggressively while just sitting in the pack. wtf was that about? if he is hurting from the crash, he has only himself to blame, unfortunately, he took out some innocent riders.

he needs to calm down, learn how to ride in a group politely, or take up another sport- like ultimate fighting. personally, i wish he leave the CRCA and step into the ring.

That CRCA rider is consistantly dangerous to be near. He's damn near taken me out at FBF on numerous occasions. Rumor is, he broke a collarbone this morning. I don't want to wish that on anyone, but I hope he's learned a lesson.

At least it'll be possible to finish out the season without having to avoid him.

Was it a Velocity rider causing the problem again?

By: BK
Sat, 08/14/2010 - 4:36pm

the A race recap on CRCA seems a bit off. Gavi was in a break for a couple of laps with JLo i believe but then got caught with a couple to go. then on the final lap, Gavi attacked at the bottom of HH, and Ingraham, Shaw, Borgia & Stevens followed. Shaw dropped off soon after and the rest stayed away until the finish where the bunch caught all but Gavi and Ingraham. Congrats to Gavi.

There is a B Team Cup as there has been for years. The club has not regularly held a B Championship race and decided not to this year. Holding a B Championship race last year was the anomaly.

It had nothing to do with competition (or a lack thereof) but rather to do with teams behaving badly.

If there was a post 'A' champ fight (painful to think of those spindly arms slapping at each other) would the same action have been taken?

Prospect Park P-1-2-3 results are in...
It was a five man breakaway...gone for roughly 1/2 the race. Tony of Zephyr got popped from the breakaway with about 2 laps to go...so it was down to 4 guys in the breakaway...the 4 guys were Fraklin Burgos, Leigh Sorrells, Stephan Dioslaki and Rapheal Meran...coming around with around a 1/2 mile to go, Burgos jumped and got a gap....Dioslaki closed it...then Meran jumped but Leigh closed it...heading closer to the line, it was Leigh then Dioslaki then Meran and then Burgos...Dioslaki jumped hard to go for it with less than 1/4 mile to go...Meran was the only one that was able to maintain contact...coming in to the line it was Dioslaki slightly ahead of Meran...then side by side with Meran...and then at the last moment a bike throw and it was Meran that took the win...so it ended up:
Rapheal Meran of Mengoni in first
Stephan Dioslaki of Metra in second
Franklin Burgos in third
Leigh Sorrells of Fioradifrutta in fourth

If anyone's got pictures or a video of the finish line...please post them...
