I am a squirrel and it pleases me to see you all at the park very early in the mornings and late in the evenings at times because it means my safety.
I love eating acorns and early Saturday mornings are great for me, but I was concerned about safety because it is very dark in the mornings.

Just knowing that you're all going to be cycling makes me feel a lot more comfortable.

Thank you all and I hope you will alwayS DAMMMMMMMITTTT YOU JUST RODE OVER MY TAIL!!!!!!!

I am a jogger and it pleases me to see you all at the park very early in the mornings and late in the evenings at times because it means my safety.
I love running and early Saturday mornings are great for me, but I was concerned about safety because it is very dark in the mornings.

Just knowing that you're all going to be cycling makes me feel a lot more comfortable.

Thank you all and I hope you will always choose Prospect Park as one of the places to have your races.

Early Holiday presents...more racing!
I offer the "punching tickets prime miss and out", pulling every last rider up the hill from the race, so at least makes some go a bit faster...no affect on the front of the race...but sure gets the lazy fatasshats off the back for sure!

right on charlie, thanks for

Kudos to Kissena for doing all that they do, whenever they can do it. Same for CRCA. And same for all the addt'l sponsors and volunteers who help make it happen.

To all the overt-sense-of-entitlement whiners: go organize & promote your own race/team/whatever if you don't like what's out there.

Thank you

Most of us ARE appreciative of the hard work the promoters put in and are thankful for the sponsors that make it happen. We in the NY Metro area are spoiled for choice with the number of local races available throughout the season.

Feb Race Date
By: Wheelsucker
Wed, 12/24/2008 - 11:56am

A number of people have been asking me why I chose a Feb race date. I'm allowed 9 race dates in Prospect Park and getting 8 dates was not a problem. It was trying to find that last date that became a problem as the Park was totally booked from March through September. I picked Feb 28 and we'll hope the weather is good. Keep in mind that if I don't pick all 9 dates I will lose a date permanently. As far as holding races in October I would be happy to if riders showed. By September I start to see lower turnouts. If I hold a race in Oct the turnout will be poor. Besides. more and more riders are racing cross and the cross season starts in October. Trust me, I'm not happy about holding a race in Feb. The only thing worse than racing on a cold Feb morning is promoting on a cold Feb morning. But I think the Feb date is scaring people a little. Keep in mind that the Spring Series starts 24 hours later so really the season is beginning just one day earlier than usual.

Happy Holidays Everybody!

That's nice. Charlie busts his ass getting these dates together and you bitch. I recall the March 1 Spring Series races were quite full last year, with most guys shivering uncontrollably at the line. If you have a problem with the date, then just don't show up, you asshat.

For real.

Will Kissena be able to enforce the joggers lane rule during sprint?

Wouldn't that be better?

I'm glad to see the February 28 race in here, because it's exactly what a February needs, more guys sprinting in booties and headscarves for season-long Cup points.

How about Sept and Oct races? Wouldn't that be better?
