Chips for the TT? I have done many TT's but can only recall having chips at Nat's and in triathlons and duathlons. There may have been others but certainly not many. Doesn't matter, the timing seemed accurate and that is the important thing. Overall it was a pretty well-organized event, except start times should've been online the night before.
Road conditions? Bad in some sections, sometimes for extended distances, but far from the worst for TT's. Did you race at Seven Lakes this year. Much, much worse.
That said, a podium ceremoney, or at least announcing the places for top finishers is always nice and they should had one since it is State champs.
Course was tough 40km , rollers and strong winds. Actually enjoyed the course the road seemed to get worse as you entered Vermont it seemed however, bump had me flying in air and I was convinced I would get puncture.
Was shocked no podium, agreed with last comment would have been nice. After all it was state championship even if we are amateurs.
I think the new jersey tt people have this down, not all however.
Did somerset tt this year and was great , everyone waited around to clap winners, great atmosphere and great course.
Dieter puts great events on so sure it will get better.
So, yesterday's NYS State TT Championships was held on some of the worst roads I've ever seen for a TT and no chip timing, as one of the organizers made the comment that Amateurs don't need chip timing or any timing system as we're not Pro's. Also, there was no podium or ceremony after the event, which was supposed to be a State Championship. The NYS Road and Crit Championships at least felt like a State Championship event...
This event was more like give us your money, don't bother us and oh yeah, here's a medal now go. What do they actually do with the money for this event, channel it all into Dieter's Farm Team???
Clubs like GVCC in Rochester when they put on an event at least make you feel like it was worth your time and money spent. I know we're amateurs, but we're paying money for this. I don't like giving money to people that are miserable.
Next years NYS TT Championship better be put on by someone else and not the people that held it this year. FAIL.

Add a commentand it would have been the same course, the same time and another $10 each I bet. Stop crying in the corner.
