2009 NJBA Time Trial Cup

March 23, 2009, Saddle Brook, New Jersey: The NJBA Time Trial Cup Committee today is pleased to announce that, through a collaborative effort of our NJBA TT Cup promoters and outside benefactors, the TT Cup Committee has secured free race entry for all Junior racers in the vast majority of the 2009 Time Trial Cup Series events.

The New Jersey Bicycling Association Time Trial Series, one of the most successful series in the country, begins in early April and runs through late August. “The entire cycling community understands how important it is to promote Junior racing in all disciplines of cycling. Given the current economic crisis, we felt it important to ensure that our Junior competitors have an easier time getting to the start line. Our TT Cup Series promoters worked with us in a way which helped get Junior racing for free in the majority of the TT Cup events for the entire 2009 Season.”

Further, contributions from Trade Manage Capital, Cowin & Masso LLP, and a Give Back Fund established by prominent members of the Give Back Fund, which is currently comprised of the following individuals: Chris Fritz, Jim Mauroff, Michael Williams, Ryan Pettit, Chris Labrecque, Will O’Donnell, Steve Goldman and Mark Cowin. We appreciate the support of these athletes and their commitment to our Juniors program! ”, stated Steve Goldman, NJBA TT Cup Committee Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of Trade Manage Capital.

Juniors will be required to register online at BikeReg.com. There is not limit to the number of Juniors who will be permitted to race for free though promoters may charge an online registration fee which will be returned to the rider on race-day. In the event the junior does not attend the race, any fees charged online or otherwise shall not be returned. Additionally, the promoter shall not be responsible for any online BikeReg service fees.

As of today, virtually all of the NJBA TT Cup events trial events and promoting Clubs as noted below are participating in this Juniors Time Trial for Free program:

• Readington (April 11th) by Team Somerset

• Cape May (April 26th) by Team Somerset

• Somerset Circuit (May9th) by Team Somerset

• State Time Trial Championship (May 31st) by Mambo Kings Racing

• Upper Freehold (July 12) JT Racing

• Long Meadow (August 1) by Westwood Velo

• Kingwood (August 8th) JT Racing

• Silvermine (August 15th) by GSParkRidge / RetroVelo / Global Locate

We are currently in discussions with the remaining promoter about their participation in this program and will advise of any further changes.
