2009 New York State Elite Track Championhips & USA Cycling Velodrome Championships

All USCF rules apply.  Riders must have a USCF license and be in good standing with USA Cycling.  Unlicensed riders may purchase a one-day license for $10 per day of competition.  Top 3 New York state residents will be awarded state championship medals.  Out of state riders are welcome to participate, but are ineligible for state championship medals.  Riders must hold annual USA Cycling license to be eligible for state medals.  Championship events will be run in the following classes:
  • Senior Men 1/2/3
  • Senior Men 4
  • Senior Women Open

In addition, non-championship events will be run for Collegiate Men and Collegiate Women.  If the following categories have less than 10 riders (Senior Men 1/2/3, Senior Men 4), fields will be combined by discretion of the promoter to achieve a field of at least 10 riders.

 

The omnium will be based on the top 5 riders in each event receiving 7, 5, 3, 2, and 1 point (except Match Sprint  – places top 3 – 7,4,2).  The highest total after all 5 events will be the winner, with top 3 New York riders in each class (except Sr Men Cat 5 & collegiate categories) receiving state medals.

 

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED.  Riders can pre-register until August 27th here on BikeReg.com or mail in entries that are received no later than August 26th to Alan Atwood, 62 Timber Ridge Dr, Holbrook, NY 11741.  Checks are to be made payable to Atwood Racing Services.  For championship categories, entry fees are $12 ($5 for juniors) per event or $35 ($15 for juniors) for the entire weekend.  For non-championship categories, entry fees are $20 for the weekend.  All fees include USCF insurance surcharges.  Number pickup will be on Friday from 4:30pm-5:45pm, Saturday from 10am-11:45am, and Sunday from 8:30am-9:45am.  Riders under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian present to sign race waiver.
