I have shears and I can bring them, but I will be needed to be reminded on Tuesday as I remember in bursts. Also, cutting those vines won't be an issue witht the parks guys, will it?
Hey I know this is one of those "someone should do something" requests, but could someone who drives to FBF bring some garden shears or something to cut that vine in turn 1. I'll cut, but it would be tough to carry shears in my jersey pocket. Branches are fine, but this thing was just waiting to grab someone's bars. Too bad it ended up in such a bad crash. Here's to a speedy recovery Dave!

It seems that David has an acromioclavlicular seperation to his shoulder, and possibly some other shoulder-related injuries. He spent some time in the ER last night but was not admitted and will be going to see the orthopaedic surgeon tomorrow. Otherwise, he's pretty bruised up and covered in road rash.
You are correct about the branch - it hooked his handlebars and took him down pretty hard. His jersey looks like it was attacked by wild dogs!
Apparently his bike is in decent shape, but it hasn't made it's way home yet so we shall see.

That wasn't a nice crash to watch. I think he hooked on an overhanging branch, it looked like it caught him under the arm on the chest, and it ripped him hard off his bike. Ugly crash. Hope he is doing well. He's a class act on the bike.
Are the Rumbling Burrowes' taking some time off from FBF or did they get banned? Not that it matters but last night was a fun race, good natured, lots of chatting, some fun attacks. Subtle encouraging by Charlie that we were going to get caught by the 3/4's. I think proper etiquette would be for Charlie to tell the 3/4's to slow down to better allow the more experienced racers to play out the complicated tactical moves that were dictating our leisurely pace.
