I don't think today's Hangover could be any more aptly titled, as I feel like I just finished coming off of a bender that involved a case of Natty Light, huffing glue, and mud wrestling with Kristie Allie. It's more than a fair assumption that anyone who raced CX this weekend probably feels like they were hit by a freight train. I guess that's what happens when you do a Beer-fueled CX double-header when a nor-easter is in town. I would call the races "Epic," but that term is overused. Let's go with "Phantastmagorical."
As for results, It was a weekend full of Twofers: In the Elite Men, Ryan Trebon and Barry Wicks went 1-2 at Both Granogue and Wissahickon. Georgia Gould won both of the women's races, and our local dreamy Finnish racer Roger Aspholm took a twofer in the Elite Master's races.
I haven't heard much about results from the NY State Championships up in Troy, NY. If anyone has any info on local racers' results, feel free to chime in.
schmalz update - here's even more pictures courtesy of Jim Mernin.
From Granogue
From Wissahickon

It was a busy weekend (well, Saturday) of racing, so let's check out who has been immortalized in pixels this weekend.
It'll be a busy Saturday this weekend, which will allow everyone a day off to hit the brunch circuit on Sunday.
It was a weekend full of all sorts of achievements, so I need to stop playing around with am introduction, and get to the winning (™ Charlie Sheen and every tiresome friend you know).

Seriously bro, shut up. You have no idea what you are talking about. Page has been passed by younger, faster guys who are a hell of a lot more approachable and great for the sport.
So yeah, shut your pie hole, douche.
Instead of giving the racers dollars and beers, maybe we should act like the Euros in Belgium and shout obscenities, spit and throw beer on the racers we dont like. Ask Page how that goes...
Your an idiot!
Page is not even the best CX racer in the US anymore. Trebon, Powers and Johnson have owned him for the past 5 years. Just because you race in Europe does not make you the best. Also, dollars and beers are just good fun. The Elites go off last. If the spectators cant have good fun then the racers will be racing to zero people.
Finally, CX is the land of posers? Nah, its the land of men and women who love to ride their bikes for the pure fun of it year round.
sorry but the dollars and the beers are an insult. just do that in the parking lot after the race, or at the camp grounds Saturday night...
95% of CX is the land or posers and no hopers...
come to think of it, that would be all cycling "racers"...
Page is the one and only true CX racer from USA.
