Team Champion System arrived safely yesterday to Redlands, California to compete in the Redland Classic. The team is one of the two New York City teams to be competing at this prestigious event. The other New York City team competing at Redlands Classic is Empire Cycling and we believe that this is the first time that two teams from New York City will be competing at this event at the same time.
"It is going to be great having our team at this event and also competing against guys we know personally from Central Park" says Associate Director and Director Sportif Andrew Kozak, "This experience out here with our two teams will surely change the landscape back home."
Competing for Champion System Racing at this event are:
Gavriel Epstein -
Rodney Santiago -
Lisban Quintero -
Raj Seepersaud -
Franklin Burgos -
"It was a real challenge for us to have riders healthy for this event" says Team Director Ray Alba "We had originally planned for our new riders to be competing at this race but, 3 of the 4 of them got injured in the weeks leading up to the event. We quickly had to rush to our other riders to sub in and we believe we put together a good team. I hope they all do well and not get into any accidents."

Is there a height max for the team? Is it "no-taller-than-Ray"?
good luck to Champsys and the rest of the CRCA Members @ Redlands!!
Having local racers going to larger and harder events begins to raise the bar for the rest of us.
Go Champion and Empire!
Hey, did Purdy go with them? I heard he was going to be working with those guys for a few races this year.
In response to fear: A wreck can be pretty bad. Not sure if you have seen the road course. It looks like it's up hill then down - at pretty fast speeds
And in regards to changing the landscape- it just raises the bar once again to all NYC racing and racers. Helping it I hope. Teams out West may come out East to do our local racing events in addition too the big races that are here in the NYC metro area. Lastly, the experience - that more local dudes can say they have shared such a great experience. Glad it was able to happen for them. Wish I could have personally shared it myself.
