Introducing the 2008 NY Cup

The NY Cup is New York State's version of a Best All-Around competition (BAR) for Road Racing based on the following events:

Tour of the Battenkill - April 19
Bloomfield Spring Classic - April 20
Hollenbecks Spring Classic - May 4
Bristol Road Race - May 10
Bear Mountain Road Race - May 11
Syracuse Race Weekend - May 17-18
Corning Circuit Race - May 24
Balloon Festival Classic - June 7
Harlem Skyscraper Classic - June 15
Strawberry Festival - June 15
Wilmington-Whiteface Road Race - June 21
Lake Placid Criterium - June 22
Hudson Road Race Unionvale - June 29
Owasco Stage Race - July 12-13
***NYS Road Race Championships - July 20 (Buffalo)***
Doc Reilly Memorial Road Race - Aug 2
***Glens Falls Downtown Criterium (NYS Champs) - Aug 3***
Capital Region Road Race Date - Aug 16
***NYS Time Trial Championships - Aug 17 (Auburn)***
Morgenstern Bear Mountain - Sep 14

The following are the only requirements imposed on event promoters:

o The event is sanctioned and officiated by USA CYCLING.
o Junior racers are specifically identified.
o Results are submitted promptly following event completion in
tabular format (First Name, Last Name, Field and Place).

Ideally, results are submitted within 72 hours so that series standings can be tabulated quickly enough to be provided by the following weekend for the next race.

Racers are awarded points by the following scale:

Points are accumulated for Men, Women, Jrs, Masters & Cat IV Men.

***Championship events have a 1.5 time multiplier for points.***
