Settel, McDade Win Big

Section head text.

On a cold and windy morning, Tony Settel won the CRCA 40+ Championships with a solo finish initiated with an attack on the second set of rollers blah blah blah…

‘I kicked the ball first time and there it was in the back of the net!’

Let’s talk real news, ok? Ace McDade, rumored to be no stranger to gambling, won our inaugural contest. Congratulations to Ace, who will soon be decked out in some swank new Stelvio BIKEWEAR duds.

In the meantime, we’ve already secured next week’s prize, which is arriving by mail even as we speak (type?). It’s something for the bike, and it retails for around $130. Check back in a couple of days to find out what it is. We’ll also be changing the contest rules a bit to spice things up.

In other news, the provisional top three in the A race were Brent Greenberg, Mike Sherry, and Craig Upton. Porter Fulmer won the B race, followed by Tim Nilson and Tatsuo Imaishi. Jeff Pellis won the C race to give Velo Classic a two win day. I believe someone posted ‘beware Velo Classic’ in the Message Board. That guy must be smart. (note: all results are provisional!!!)

Waiting to pounce.

I’m reminded of The Waco Kid’s warning to Black Bart about Mongo: “No, no, don’t do that. If you shoot him you’ll just make him mad.”

Brian’s not hurt, he’s mad. Upon his return, his bionic shoulder will lay waste to the B’s.

Heal up quick!
