Hangover September 8th, 2015

Labor Day has come and gone, so wearing white is off-limits until next Memorial Day. While multitudes of humans were sunning themselves on area beaches and grilling burgers, some intrepid souls made the trek to Vermont for stage racing at the Green Mountain Stage Race, others stopped on the way to the beach to hit the Floyd Graveyard series and the really fun people were racing cross. Let’s grill up some results, shall we?

GMSR GC fields finished as follows:

Bryan Lewis of Kelly Benefit Strategies won the Men’s P/1.
Tara Whitten of The Cyclery – Opus won the Women’s 123
Beth Ruiz of Zimmer Capital Orthopedics p/b Foundation won the W’s 35+
Sean Gardner of Integrated Sports Medicine won the M 2
David Taylor of CRCA /NY Vision – Fuoriclasse won the M 3
Amber Ferreira of MC Cycle and Sport won the W 3/4
William Lampe of Fiera Rara Race Team won the M 4/5
Jonathan O’Connor of NEBC p/b Cycle Loft won the M 4/5 Masters
Derek Gee of the Canada National Team won the Junior field
Alex Weil of FinKraft Cycling Team won the M 40+
Tobi Schultze of Clif Bar/Pactimo/MeltSnow.com won the M 50+
Richard Sorenson of 802PROJECT won the M 60+

I don’t see results for the Floyd Graveyard series, but that goes through October, which impressive.

At Ellison Cross, Vincent Baestaens won the Elite day 1 and Meredith Miller won W’s Elite day 1. Jeremy Powers won ProCX/UCI day 2 and Kaitlin Antoinneau won the W Elite day 2. No water was consumed in the sweltering heat. Full results are here http://www.crossresults.com/race/5070, but you’ve probably scoured them endlessly already.

Granogue CX was last Sunday, results are here: http://www.crossresults.com/race/5072.
