Hangover March 30, 2015

Baby it's cold outside...

Bienvenido, velkomin, welkom, etc. I am not going to give you all a lecture on how we are dumb for racing this weekend, as I am sure those of you who were REALLY dumb and went to PP on Sun to race in the “feels like” 17 degree weather are either dead or still chopping off limbs from frostbite. Despite the missing appendages, racing did take place this weekend so we need to give the winners a chance to bask in their glory on the interwebs.

On Sat, there was a CRCA club race (finally!). Jaime Soper of CRCA/Rockstar Games won the W4 race, Gene Wilson of CRCA/Foundation won the C race, Alexander Cernichiari of CRCA/Rapha won the B race, Kristin Lotito of CRCA/Houlihan Lokey won the W field, and Alex Sanborn of CRCA/Foundation won the A field. 10 deep results here. Across the river in the wild west of Newark NJ at the 2015 Lucarelli & Castaldi Branchbrook Park Spring Series: Roseville Circuit Race, Franklin Campusano won the M4/5-2 race, Lou Dusini of Team Carl Hart won the M4/5-1 race, Stephan Dioslaki of Team Metra/Cycles 54 won the 35+ race, Jeffrey Cline of 4 Kidz Velo/Babylon Bike won the 45+ race and Ross Baldwin of Lupus Racing Team won the 1/2/3 race. Full results here. At the Trooper Brinkerhoff race in Coxsackie (*giggle*), a race was run and there were results but the internet has yet to reveal them. From grainy FB photos of a moist results sheet, I was able to determine someone named David Smith won the D race and they are located here.

On Sun at the Kissena Spring Classic, snotcicles were abound and Yakov Levin of Bare Arms Cycling won the M5 race (and if he was bare armed, the idiot of the year award), Jonas Gustafsson of the Wafels & Dinges team won the M4 race and Jayson Jacobs redeemed the Weather Channel team with a win in the P/1/2/3 race. Full results here. At the Ronde de Walnut Hill – Aetna Nutmeg Spring Series, Jake Parton of team Sherpa won the M5 race,  Ben Jankowski of Union Cycle won the Juniors race, Kevin Stewart of Race CF Dev won the M4 race, Joe Rodrigues of Cyclonauts Racers won the M45+ race, Stanley Lezon of Aetna-Expo Wheelman won the M3/4 race, Baris Aytan of CRCA/E2Value won the M1/2/3 race and Chelsea Knapp of Healthy and Happy Racing won the W1/2/3/4 race. Full results located here. In southern NJ, at the 21st Ronde Van Mullica -Pedal Power Series #3, there were many results and they can be found here.

And in velodrome news, at the Lucarelli & Castaldi: 6 Days of Kissena’s day 2, Peter Sharman of Boston Road club won the M50+ race, Michael Pelletier of Loktrack NYC won the M5 race, Aaron Mangum of FGX Racing won the M4 race, Rosael Torres Davis of Ride Brooklyn won the W4 race, Rozzie “faster than a mofo” Patterson won the W1/2/3 race and finally some asshole named Josh Sakofsky of CRCA/Rockstar Games won the 1/2/3 race. Full results can be found here.
