Hangover April 6, 2015

אתה אפילו מגפה, אחי?

As we have already established, the Jewish god is the best because there was racing on Sat. Don’t look at you phone or the TV post dinner, but racing in the AM is totally kosher (see what i did there?). Let us see who among you had reason to celebrate and who had a visit from the Sh’chin fairy…

At the park of prospects, round 1 of the Lucarelli & Castaldi Cup took place. Orlando Manriquez won the M5 race, Jonas Gustafsson of CRCA/Wafels & Dinges again dominated and won the M4 field (I smell an upgrade coming…) and Allan Rego of CRCA/Lupus Racing won, denying Jayson Jacobs and Alex Sanborn more W’s to their scorecard in the M1/2/3. Full results are here.

At the Army Spring Classic, Lucie Vagnerova of CRCA/Rockstar Games won the W3/4 like the bad ass she is and Nate Cornman won the M4/5 field. Full results here, USAC races down at the bottom.

In Newark at the 2015 Lucarelli & Castaldi Branchbrook Park Spring Series: Tour de Olmsted, Cody LaCosta of High Gear/Trek/WW went 2 for 2 in the M4/5 field and won both races, Marcus Dallhof of CRCA/Rockstar Games proved that doing doughnut rides help and took down the M35+ field, Jeffrey Cline of 4 Kidz Velo/Babylon Bike won the M45+ field and Scott Savory of CRCA/Lupus Racing won the M1/2/3 race. Full results are here.

Still no results from the Trooper Brinkerhoff week 2 race, but expected on bikereg.

At the Philly Navy Yard Crit, people who went were thoroughly disgusted with the town of Philadelphia (which we all know is only a slight step above Camden, NJ but with less murders and no aquarium) but managed to get over their loathing and distaste and ended up racing bikes. Alec Ratzell of Young Medalists won the J13-15 race, someone didn’t even bother sticking around in Philly long enough to collect the prize for the M35+ race and thus will be known as the “Unknown Rider” (no, seriously), Mark Gorman of Bike Line Lehigh Wheelmen Bike won the M45+ race, Victor Siegfried of Evolution Cycling Club p/b Long won the M55+ race, Peter Alter of QCW Cycling p.b. Breakawaybikes won the M5 race, Chris Pino of 5th Floor NYC won the M4/5 race, Ronald Araya of REITT Carroceria y Pintura – BM won the M3/4 race, William Cooper of QCW Breakawaybikes.com p/b Felt won the M1/2/3 race, Annie Monjar won the W4 race and Amy Cutler of Fearless Femme p/b Haute Wheels pulled herself away from social media long enough to win the W1/2/3 race. Full results here.

At the track, I can tell you Kieran Leahy of Sommerville Sports – Ride Brooklyn won the M1/2/3 race and Travis Rabbitt of Yale Cycling won the W1/2/3 race. Other race results are not posted yet, but videos of all the racing can be found here courtesy of Miki Marcinkiewicz of Spin City Cycles.
