Hangover April 27, 2015

It’s Monday, yet again. Some of you are resting from a full weekend of bike racing and riding and some of you are still in the hospital from either a) doing a race on bikes designed for a specific type of arena NOT on that type of arena or b) falling down drunk at that race. As this is a site run by curmudgeons and filled with snark, we don’t comment on such affairs but we are pretty sure sanctioned races are now the new alleycats.

On Sat at the CRCA race, The Weather Channel team continued their dominance with Chase Goldstein winning the A field while Alexander Cernichiari of the Rapha Cycling Club won the B field and over in the old farts field, Mark Alden of Blue Ribbon told the rest of the field to get off his lawn. No women’s race or C race took place. 10 deep results here.

On Sun at the Lucarelli & Castaldi cup, Lisban Quintero won the M1/2/3 race, Woody Baum of CRCA/Foundation won the M4 race and Felipe Freire of Lucarelli & Castaldi won the M5 race. Full results here. Also on Sun down in NJ at the BLP 2209 Grand Prix presented by Sommerville Sports, Nicholas Rogers of QCW Breakawaybikes.com won the M1/2/3 race, Lauren Dagostino of recent NYVC fame and H+H racing won the W1/2/3 race, John Sedlak of DNK Cycling won the M3 race, Breigh Chadwick of Action Wheels Bike Shop won the W4 race, Mark Leusner of Summit Cycling Club won the M4/5 race, Chris McGinley of PS Racing/BTB won the 35+ race and David Hudson of Mid Atl Masters Bicycle Org won the 45+ race. Full results here. Over in Queens, there were keirins and other types of track races but no results yet.

why, was there a triathlon taking place? this is road racing, not third grade soccer, though i could see how you would easily confuse the two. here, there are no participation medals.
